So I signed up for this year's Star Trek Big Bang before I knew I'd be doing NaNo, but thankfully, I got most of what I wanted to get done finished before November (of course, that didn't stop me from tweaking things last night when I should have been sleeping).

No Problem!, which has quite a bit of fantastic tips (I truly recommend it), including advising authors not to let people read what you've written while in progress, so I probably won't be posting any snippets or anything. So I've been sort of absent lately, even though I've been reading my LJ every day. I've been doing that thing where I write a massive LJ post in my head, and the longer I wait to actually write it out, the more stuff happens that I feel I have to cram in. celli had a comment fic challenge in her journal today, and I participated. This is my first Merlin fic, and maybe the only thing I've written in 2008? So, I wanted to save it here. :)

Let me just on record and say that Write or Die is AMAZING. Much like the first person I saw recommending it (and there've been a few), I sometimes have trouble sitting down and forcing myself to focus when I'm writing -- especially when I'm writing for fun rather than an assignment -- but this program TOTALLY WORKED OMG ( Read more... )
